[Poll #975827]

POLL NOW CLOSED
THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO REGISTERED THEIR OPINION

I think that you are probably quite correct, her presence wouldn't add anything to the 'verse, and as I never really liked her that much anyway,(I mean, the girl was a little bit dense, who thinks, 'hey, I'm on the roof of a building, and there's a random rope hanging in front of me, I'll just grab it', ahem, I digress.) I don't think I could write her very symapthetically. It would be 'Rose bashing' and that isn't what this series is about.

The next chap is half done, and should be up soon.

I ticked "maybe" Hon, because on the one hand I really don't want to see Rose appear,
I believe that once she is gone, she is gone, and we already have Ianto in the Tardis. I think it would be a case of too many cooks spoil the broth. I would be happier knowing that if she returned it would not be for a long period, she would stir up ill feelings and then go with her tail between her legs back to her parallel universe.

I know most people love her, however I never saw Rose as any thing other than the typical teenager and so didn't really see what drew the attraction to her, she did rather irritate me with her own self importance at times. This is no doubt due to the fact that I am a older viewer/reader.

On the other hand at the end of the day however the story is your baby, and even though I would be a mite disappointed to see her in the fic, (despite this I would enjoy watching her downfall *evil smirk*) it would not detract me from reading "Eternity"

If she came back it would be for one fic, and her bubble would most definitely be burst.

I agree with feenix - it wouldn't put me off reading, but I wouldn't be like ZOMGSQUEEEIT'SROSEILUFFHER. Rose coming back stories always irk me somewhat - it's been made abundantly clear that she's trapped in this altreality, although having said which I'm sure you could do it justice.

You already have Ianto there who has the potential to cause problems for the happy couple, and I can see Jack being the cheater (or at least more easily tempted) than the Doc anyway. Based on what we know about the character, it's surprising Ianto's managed to keep his feelings for Jack hidden as long as he has in this series.

But I'll read anyway, whatever you do :D

Oh God, believe me if she did pop up NO ONE would be cheating, but sensing someone's feelings without the context could lead to misinterpritation.

Ianto wouldn't get between them, he loves Jack enough to know he was never really happy before, and that he is now. He's happy as he is for the moment, but I might get him interested in someone soon. He/she would have to fit in on the TARDIS though if we don't want Ianto to leave.

Personally, I loved Rose, and that's why I don't want to see her come back -- I don't think she should have to deal with any more pain.

I think the possible reason I like her so much is because I haven't warmed to Martha AT ALL. I'm not sure that I can place exactly why that is, but it seems to me that Rose had so much more heart than Martha does (plus, Martha's annoyingly pushy!)

I love this so far, apart from wanting to hug my poor lonely Ianto. (how dare the Doc take his Jack away)

I'd hate her to come along and upset/get rid of Ianto, sod the other two, it's always Ianto that suffers in the end.

I never liked Rose with Ten anyway though, didn't think they suited each other at all, no chemistry as it were.

But... it is your story, do with it what your muse dictates, I will not stop reading if she appears.

hmmm... I ticked 'no' but as long as she doesn't stick around forever - I think I can deal with her - it would add a bit of angst for Jack as it always seemed painfully obvious that the Doctor was first attracted to her with everyone else in the queue behind her and since Jack hooked up this time after Rose was gone he was secure in his place in the Doctor's life... but if Rose returned...

poor Jack - don't get me wrong I love hurt/comfort emotional as well as physical and as long as the Doctor is there for Jack in the end....

From: [identity profile] amythest-n-ice.livejournal.com

Exactly! Jack is secure now, but there are no roadblocks in the way, the only potential competition is gone. Jack has never had to doubt the Doctors feelings for HIM, becasue Rose was gone. He needs to see the Doctor tell her that she is out of luck basically.

Rose coming back would be a good plot. Just to give her closure and strengthen their relationship. Then off back to the other dimension.

I clicked no. I like Rose, don't get me wrong but I think you're already getting quite character heavy as it is. Adding Rose into the mix would quite probably detract from certain elements of this that make it one of my favourite stories to read. If you think you can handle it and keep teh character balance then go for it, but, in my opinion, I think the current character balance works quite well with just enough room for an OCloveinterest for Ianto.

The plot you could derive from Rose would most certainly be fantastic but, as I said, it might take away something from the over all feel of this verse rather than add to it.

I'm in the "maybe" camp. Angst is good, but not at the cost of Rose-bashing - that would be mean and out of character for this series, IMHO. Maybe she just finds a way to communicate with them, instead of actually showing up? I'm not a rabid Rose fan, but I do think both Ten and Jack miss her.
