Just how drunk do you have to be, so that it doesn't completely and utteryly SUCK that you don't want to write? Not writers block, the ideas, the plots, they're there, but I just do not feel like putting my fingers to my keyboard to get them down. Two weeks off work pretty much up, I have had time to update EVERYTHING outstanding, Birmingham and JB in Panto not withstandinging. WHY do I just plain and simple not want to write? Someone please tell me, so that I can make it go away, please?

Try a prompt table, or writing for a different fandom (please come back to TW sometime though)?

I just started a fic for a new fandom before this random annoyance started, even that isn't getting my interest at the moment. I don't know, maybe sitting staring at the keyboard is actually making it worse. :( I have no intention of abandoning any of my fandoms though.

Oh, I wish I knew. Are you on any news meds? Sometimes they can mess with creativity.

No, no new meds, I can barely remember to take the ones I've been on for years some days, and with beta blockers...not so good, lol. At least when I forget my antihistimines, I know the same day, the sneezing is kind of a giveaway, but with the beta blockers, I often don't remember until I get the migraine.

Maybe now that Birmingham is out of the way it will get better, (not JB and the panto, I hasten to add, that I could have done a dozen times, just to see him completely lose it and end up practically wetting himself with laughter on the stage, lol) but the general overall dread of seeing any memeber of my family that came in attendance with the trip. My sister drove up to meet me there, and not that it wasn't nice to see her, but...I'm sure there are people on my flist familiar with my veiws on my relatives. I'm back in my own country now, back in my comfort zone, so fingers crossed my antipathy toward my keyboard will go away.

I really get where your coming from. I have 5,000 words due for fic exchange on Feb.7th, I know the plot but I just can't seem to write it. I'm trying this to see if it will help. I don't think you've done this before so it might be worth a shot. It's a music/ficlet meme.

The Rules:
1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble/ficlet related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it's over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

What I usually do, is write my fics by hand - with pen and paper - first. That way, even if I dont feel like typing that day, I've at least still made progress.

I'm terrible in that if I start writing on paper, it stays on the paper, I don't have the patience to then transcribe it over onto the computer.
