One, I think he's bloody gorgeous! Two, I think he would be able to pull it off, I reckon he could still do the action stuff. Three, I wanted the line damnit, I wanted the line. The first time he looked at himself in the mirror after his regeneration, I wanted to hear him say. "Bloody hell, I look like a younger version of my third self! I hope this isn't going to be a pattern, I couldn't deal with the hair, teeth and dress sense of the fourth one again!"

I second your thoughts. I was in a very small group that found him completely gorgeous (never one for the pretty boys, me). He has a darkness around him that calls me to him. Love it. Here's to a little darker (as fark as a kid's show can go lol) representation of the Doctor. Something not emo, but troubled? Goth comes to mind. lol

Yeah, I loved him in Cadfael the best, he was the only TV one I could actually slash with Cadfael (it was easy, and OBVIOUS with the book one, I'm sure Ellis Peters was a secret slasher).

Was he in Cadfael? Didn't know. Oddly enough about a month ago I was doing research (don't ask I do random odd searches) and stumbled across Cadfael. I think I want to watch that series.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was a secret slasher! lol Though I don't think she would've ever admitted it for obvious reasons. But then again, if it's as obvious as you say, maybe she was sorta kinda admitting it in her books? LOL I'm thinking too hard about this! lol

He was Hugh Beringar in the first series, there was definitely a better chemistry between him and Derek Jacobi than the ones who took the role after him.

Have you read any of the books? You really should, they're quite stunning. Head and shoulders above a lot of the 'modern' detective stories. It kinda makes me want to go to Shrewsbury and do the trails.

I haven't but you talking about them gives me interest. I'd book marked the site that I researched that had the basic synopsis and it was interesting. I *think* I've maybe seen one episode on Masterpiece theater here in the Us YEARS (like maybe I was 8 or so? I'm 25 now) ago. But it might have been another series.
I'll put the books on my TBR pile for '09!

Try and get the omnibus books, there are a lot of them, otherwise, and the omnibus books work out a hell of a lot cheaper.
