Completely Random. Does anyone out there remember these guys? Anyone out there looking forward to the move due out next year as much as I am?

I used to watch this on TV as Battle of the Planets! It came on everyday in the afternoon after school! The first con I ever went to back in '85, I bought a book of fan fic stories inspired by the show! It was my very first experince with fan fic and it was not on a computer but in a self bound book! I was very surprised that the further I read into the stories the naughtier they became!! Any ways that is how Gatchman got me hooked on fan fic!!!

Yay! It was BotP I saw first too, but Gatch is way better (it's a freaky robot stalker free zone after all). And in Gatch, Ken and Joe (Mark and Jason) are WAY slashier than they are in BotP ;). Do you still like it, and have you been to the fabulous archive?

I have the original episodes on dvd in Japanes with optional subtitles. I like to watch with ou the subtitles because even though I don't speak Japanese you can tell a lot by the voices! I am fairly new to LJ. I did not even know there was an archive!! Can you post a link?

Yeah, I prefer all of my anime in Japanese, lol, the American voice actors tend to interpret things differently. The Archive isn't on lj, it's here http://www.gatchfanfic.com/index.php
and it is chock full of lovely stuff. I have a fic posted there myself, under one of my other names, lol, but I would point you in the direction of cathrl and ali for starters, and ghost owl and mrsannmalloy if you want hysterical episode reveiws.

I saw it first as Battle of the Planets, and as I got older I bought it on DVD and then bought the original Gatchaman on DVD. I got myself so hooked and have even written Mark/Jason (Ken/Joe) fanfiction!! I am waiting anxiously for the movie, but am also worried at the same time.

You have Ken/Joe or Mark/Jason fic? Where, where? There is paltry little of it around! Everyone seemse to think Mark/Ken should be with Princess/Jun (As if, there are no hints of that in Gatch, which is SO slashy it's unreal! I mean, did you see Ken in the 0002, when Jinpei gave him the 'rang he had left with Joe, they were so at it *g*)

The movie should hopefuly be OK, as long as they remain reasonably faithful to Gatch, at the very least, the OVA, and don't BotP it up too much. (If I see or hear Zark, I WILL be demanding my money back.)
