Concert

([personal profile] amythest_n_ice Apr. 7th, 2008 11:03 pm)
I just got back from the John Barrowman gig at the Cardiff Millenium Center, and it was BRILLIANT!!! He didn't just launch from song to song, he talked too, and he was so funny, and sweet and sad sometimes too. All around, well worth the hell I went through to make my merry way to Cardiff on Friday.

Oh My Gosh! *goes green with envy*

So wishing I lived in the UK right about now... Lucky you! It sounds like it was a wonderful show... must admit the last concert I went to was to see Keith Urban - he's a country singer (...yes I know I like country music,...but my Dad's a big fan and they were tickets for his birthday... that's my excuse anyway *grins*)

Hope getting in and out of Cardiff wasn't too bad... could be worse I suppose - It could have been in London!

London would at least have been easier to get to, lol. It really was a fantastic night, and he had THE CAPTAIN JACK COAT with him, he had it brought out at one point to worship it, lol.

Yeah, my dad was in to country music too, but I don't think he ever got the chance to go and see anyone live :-(

It was really fantastic, Russell T Davis was there, and Julie Gardiner, and he was teasing them where he had them in the front row, and he had THE COAT with him, when he was talking abour one of the defining moments in his life, Captain Jack. He also seems to be very aware of fans pairing him with the Doctor, he changed the words of a song to have him running off with him, lol. With it being the first night of the tour too, he was so excited, jumping around like a big kid some of the time!

He really was worth spending 12 hours travelling probably less than 150 miles for on Friday *g*

I live near Glasgow and John is performing in Glasgow, unfortunately there's no more tickets. You can't get them for love nor money *sniff* Still, no matter. Glad you had a good time and keep up the excellent wok with the fics

I bought mine in December, and there were only about 2 left, but then, that was the opening concert in Cardiff. From what I understand, tickets everywhere went like hotcakes. More chapters in a couple of fics, and 2 parts of a new side step, coming up tonight, if I ever manage to get through all the messages in my inbox.

just got back from a short holiday to London - and from seeing John perform at the Apollo - damn he is soooo good.... I could listen to him for hours and I loved his jokes and stories and dancing on stage...

Wasn't he soooooooo cute when he worshiped the coat?

His guests in Cardiff were RTD and Julie Gardiner, as well as his folks, and he was teasing RTD!
