reply pt 3

as for Rose well - I liked/loved Rose far more than I'd ever imagined I could have when I first read about Doctor Who being revived by Russell for the BBC - BUT I never ever thought of her as the be all, end all of companions and that seems to be how Russell and company view her - they tried so hard to give us someone different in Martha and for the most part succeeded BUT the continuing comparison that the Doctor made all during Martha's time with him got to be a bit much (kinda reminded me of Owen's singlemindedness in regards to Diane)... frankly I was really disgusted with Billie and her whinging a few months after she'd left the show - it was her decisions yet in interviews, etc. she kept saying how much she missed it, it was probably a mistake, etc. - like John says - You should accept your decisions. Even if they're not necessarily the obvious 'right' ones in retrospect they're over and done with and they move your life along. --- basically Billie needed to buck-up and suck it up and move on and it seemed to take her far too long to do that... then of course we have to have the writers for DW bring her back (somehow) in the coming series of DW - *shakes head* - sometimes it is like the Daleks and the Cybermen - things should be allowed 'rest' longer before being brought back on the show and ONE series is NOT enough time for Rose to be gone in my opinion....

anyway - hopefully I've not bored you to tears - I do love talking with fans of similiar thoughts in regards to the Doctor, Jack and the others 8-) @>----
