Erm, some tutorials are... if I can find them again that is.

As for blending, I tend to use the erase tool whereas most people use the select and delete one. A friend of mine did a blending tutorial for me and I'll see if she still has it so I could send you it. As for my way, I use the eraser on circle on 0 sharpness (understanding so far? If not, have a look at the toolbar across the top when you click on the erase button). Then I just erase out background very carefully and leave what I want left.
Then I place one image over the top so they look blended.

Anyway, if you want, I'll see if I can maybe make a tutorial or two myself to see if I can help you. I'm no pro myself mind you, I tend to just look at other people's work and then mess around and see if I can duplicate something similar with my own madeup techniques.
